Set for June 28 to July 4, American Flowers Week is the advocacy, education and outreach campaign co-produced by the Slow Flowers Podcast with Debra Prinzing and Slowflowers.com, the free, nationwide, online directory to American Flowers and the people who grow and design with them.

ABOUT DEBRA PRINZING:
Debra Prinzing is an award-winning author, speaker and leading advocate for American-grown flowers. She is the creator of Slowflowers.com, a free online directory that helps consumers find florists, designers, studios and farms that supply American grown flowers. Debra’s book Slow Flowers (St. Lynn’s Press, 2013) received a Silver Medal from Garden Writers Association in 2014.
Debra is a contributing editor to Florists’ Review magazine and Country Gardens magazine. She is a contributor to Garden Design, and her work has appeared in numerous magazines, newspapers, online publications and blogs.
In 2016, the Seattle Wholesale Growers Market, a farm-to-florist cooperative, honored Debra with the first Growers Choice Award for her “outstanding contributions to revitalizing the local floral community.”
In 2018, the American Horticultural Society named Debra a “Great American Gardener,” recognizing her with the Frances Jones Poetker Award, named for the famed 20th century botanist, horticulturist, author and lecturer in honor of significant achievements in the field of floral design.
Debra is the creator of American Flowers Week, launched during the July 4th week in 2015 with more than 400,000 social media impressions. Debra is also the producer and host of the Slow Flowers Podcast with Debra Prinzing, which is available for free download on iTunes or at debraprinzing.com.
